About

Musician, Teacher, Dad

Born in Kansas City, I began playing the guitar at the age of 12 after seeing the Beatles play on the Ed Sullivan Show. After seeing that, I knew what I wanted to do with my life – playing in many bands, covering many different styles of music. Went on the road in 1977 and traveled from Oregon to Maine playing music all the way. Settled in Vermont, and have been fortunate enough to actually make a living teaching guitar and performing.

I teach guitar at the wonderful Elley-Long Music Center at Saint Michaels college in Colchester, Vermont & at the Mahaney Center for the Arts at Middlebury college in Middlebury, Vermont. Also At the Congregational Church in St. Albans. 8 recordings to date and I’m working on the next project now.

“I teach people how to work this thing called a ‘Guitar’ and they give me money. & then I play the Guitar while people eat or drink or get married or even listen sometimes, and they pay me again, I work in heaven!”
